Greater Hartford Walk Now For Autism Speaks

This past Sunday, June 1st, the K21 Kid Strong Foundation attended the 9th annual Greater Hartford Walk Now For Autism Speaks at Rentschler Field, a walk and resource fair to support awareness of Autism, a complex brain disorder- one of the fastest growing in the U.S. today. The hope was to raise awareness and financial support so that change may be brought to the field of Autism Spectrum research.

KSF proudly showed their support for the cause as they spoke with attendees about the Kid Strong program and its mission. Board of Directors present included, Kaicho David Farzinzad and his wife, Shihan Nahid Farzinzad, as well as their daughter Pegah Farzinzad, Stephen Eaton and his daughter Molly Eaton, and Kristin Garrison. The event truly was a family affair as the team networked with other special needs resource agencies and care providers. The hope for change filled Rentschler Field on Sunday and could be seen in the positive attitudes present with every one of the walkers and vendors. BOD Member, Kristin Garrison commented, ” We were amazed at the thousands of people who showed up to help raise awareness and support those living with Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders. We applaud the parents and families dedication and support of their children.”
